It is with great sadness that I announce that my mother passed away on Thursday May 28 from cancer.
I was told she couldn't be treated anymore only a few weeks ago, and she went quickly without too much pain. I will miss her forever and always fight to destroy this disease so no one else has to go through this pain like myself and my family.
Thanks for reading my story, I wish it weren't so short.

05/05 21:19 - Treating The Symptoms
Thats what it seems like we do for my mom now. Treating this fluid and low blood counts. No chemo, no radiation. Nothing for the cancer. I really hope they start chemo again soon. I got a fortune cookie today that said 'this year will be a good year for you'. I hope it means that for my whole family ![]()
Mom's back in that dumb hospital again too. Her symptoms always make people think she is having a heart attack so she always gets in ahead of other people, but I got kicked out and wasn't allowed to see her for hours. Not cool :P

05/02 21:35 - I'm Good Luck :)
Thanks to everyone who commented about my comic. Its just my little way of given back. I've known a few pediatric cancer patients and thats always affected me. I've always liked drawing and reading comics and manga and thought creating a story like this could help do some good in this world. Also, just to let you all know I live in Canada near Toronto so my mom doesn't go to Roswell park although I wish she could. We have cancer centers here but none of her doctors ever seem to send her there. Our local hospital sucks with dealing with chemo related infection. Like putting her in a ward. Thats the worst thing for someone with a compromised immune system! And then she gets these old lady roommates who think that because she is young she is healthy and should do everything for them! But really she's sicker then them!
But enough ranting. I had some good news today. I seem to be good luck when I bring mom to the hospital. She was supposed to have this draining done on her lungs cuz she always has trouble breathing from fluid accumulation and she said I was good luck because usually she waits around for hours for these little procedures and I got us in and out in 2 hours. After they do this draining thing she's like a million times better so we rented August Rush and ordered pizza together tonight. Some good times again with my mommy! My parents anniversary is also tomorrow so she should be well enough for that, and then on Sunday we're probably going to do my 23rd birthday party finally. Exactly a month later XD Mmm Red Lobster~
If you are a teen or college student with a parent going through cancer treatment give me a comment. I'd love to meet some more people in the same situation and maybe offer some help ![]()
