According to a study done by Hopelab in 2006, cancer patients who play Re-mission are more likely to take their medicine, undergo needed therapy and understand their illness.

"Re-mission gives teens and young adults a sense of power and control over their cancer," says Hopelab president Pat Christen.

Re-Mission™ is a video game developed specifically for teens and young adults with cancer. In Re-Mission, players pilot a nanobot named Roxxi as she travels through the bodies of fictional cancer patients destroying cancer cells, battling bacterial infections, and managing side effects associated with cancer and cancer treatment. Re-Mission is a Windows PC game and is available in a variety of formats at www.re-mission.net. Re-Mission was created by the nonprofit organization HopeLab www.hopelab.org and is free of charge to young people with cancer, their families and caregivers.
