"It's Always Something" Teen Writing Contest

Students in grades 9 - 12 are encouraged to enter the "It's Always Something" 4th Annual Teen Writing Contest presented by Gilda's Club WNY. All original entries should relate to your thoughts about cancer. Write a poem (no more than one side of a page) or an essay (500 words or less) about anything you feel when thinking about cancer. All entries will be judged by a professional review committee and cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places! The deadline for submission is March 15th, 2011. Gilda's Club WNY offers a special place for teenagers touched by cancer - whether they are living with cancer, or have a friend or family member who has cancer.
