Transit Middle School Students at the Kiss 98.5 Studio

Transit Middle is Goin' Bald!

Thursday, February 25, 2016

Transit Middle School joined the Yroswell Street Team and DJ Anthony at the Kiss 98.5 studio to share the news that they are Goin’ Bald for Bucks. Their event will take place Friday, February 26 with a donation goal of $50,000!

This is the third year Transit will be Goin’ Bald and it is in memory of a teacher who passed away from cancer, Mr. John Tronolone. The students have also dedicated their participation to loved ones who have battled cancer.

In her on-air interview with DJ Anthony, Sophia Martin says, “I’m Goin’ Bald for Bucks in memory of my mother who lost her battle to cancer. I miss you so much.”

Jake Heater shares how Roswell Park has impacted him, “The reason I’m Goin’ Bald for Bucks is because back in September my grandma had a brain tumor and Roswell saved her life, so I owe them much more than my hair for that.”

We are looking forward to Transit Goin’ Bald for Bucks on Friday. We are grateful for the amount of participation and excitement surrounding this event!
