West Seneca Students Goin' Bald for Bucks

West Seneca Schools Team Up

Saturday, May 7, 2016

Almost all of the West Seneca West schools went Bald for Bucks this year! Allendale Elementary, West Elementary, Winchester Elementary, West Middle and West Senior all participated! The schools stopped by the Kiss 98.5 studio before their event on April 8 to share with DJ Anthony why they were going bald.

Nicole at West Senior went Bald for Bucks for the third time! Every year she does it in honor of her aunt, “My Aunt Barb is an ovarian cancer survivor. She’s doing good.”

A few other students also went bald in honor of loved ones. A student named Jordan shaved his head for his cousin who is a cancer survivor. He also expressed his amazing enthusiasm towards the event, “We are going to raise A LOT of money for cancer research at Roswell Park.”

Another West Seneca West student, Clinton, shared that “The goal one day is to have a world without cancer. I know that’s why all the students at West are doing it, including me.”

West Seneca West did an awesome job getting their schools involved in going bald for bucks. All of their hard work paid off as they raised $47,731.77!
