Amherst Middle School Sets a New Personal Record!

Amherst Middle School has so much to celebrate! Not only did they have a hugely successful Bald for Bucks event on June 2nd, they beat their total from the previous year before their event even took place! Amherst Middle recently visited the Kiss 98.5 Studio to discuss their Bald for Bucks event on air with DJ Anthony.

This is the second year Amherst Middle will be Goin’ Bald For Bucks and are determined more than ever to raise money for Roswell Park, to support those who not only have successfully beaten cancer but, those close to them who have had their life taken by cancer.  Students also on air wanted to thank those who have already donated to the cause and wanted challenge everyone to help them exceed their goal even more so.

Mr. Mansfield, a teacher at Amherst Middle shared why this cause is so special to him and why he is Goin' Bald for Bucks,“ I am going bald for bucks in memory of Aunt Terri and to honor my beautiful wife Suzanne, who is a survivor."
