Students at an in-studio

What's an In-Studio?

Thursday, November 1, 2018

If you ever tune into Kiss 98.5, you’ve have probably heard about Bald for Bucks. Every year, Kiss and DJ Anthony invite students to the station to talk about their experience Goin’ Bald for Bucks. The participants go on an exclusive tour of the studio, meet the voices behind the radio at Entercom, record some lines with DJ Anthony and then celebrate their Bald for Bucks success with a pizza party!

Since it can be nerve wrecking to be live on the air, students pre-record their lines. This takes the pressure off and allows the students to nail their delivery. DJ Anthony adds his own twist to it and then it’s ready for the radio! All the testimonials air later that night during the Kiss 10 at 10.

Every school has the opportunity to talk about the people who helped make their event successful and the extra details of their event that made it special.

DJ Anthony asks each student why they chose to go Bald for Bucks. For some, they want to make a difference and help a good cause, for others it is more emotional. Many of the students who make this bold commitment have family members or close friends who have either faced a cancer diagnosis or have passed away from it. They use this inspiration and passion to get involved in the fight against cancer.

Aside from hanging out with DJ Anthony and visiting Kiss 98.5, in-studios are a great way to celebrate your Bald for Bucks event and to thank your supporters.
