Frontier Middle Blue Buffalo

Frontier Middle School Joins the Herd of Hope

Thursday, December 5, 2019

This summer, nominations were opened for the Herd of Hope Hero Award, which honored an individual in the Western New York community who exudes hope for loved ones, community and cures. Frontier Middle School received a large amount of nominations for their participation in Goin' Bald for Bucks and they too, were welcomed into the herd!

Teacher coordinator Laura Klein and nominator Shannon Gonzales accepted the award on behalf of the school. The students, teachers, community and family members all played a huge role in the success of the middle school's Bald for Bucks events. Over the past several years they have raised thousands of dollars to support Roswell Park's innovative research and patient care programs.

The Herd of Hope was created to build awareness of the research taking place at Roswell Park while raising funds to advance innovative ideas that have the potential to make a significant difference in the fight against cancer. Organizations and schools like Frontier Middle School are so important to this cause. Their new blue buffalo is a constant reminder of the hard work and dedication they have contributed to the fight against cancer. Congratulations to Frontier Middle School!
