Roswell Park pilots heart-centered therapy program with pediatric patients

In the fight against cancer, Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) has an ever-growing arsenal of treatments. Recently, two RPCI employees introduced a heart-centered approach, called Healing Touch, which focuses on the mind and spirit of the patient, as well as physical ailments.

It’s Friday afternoon, and school is out. One would typically expect most teenagers to instantly race to the malls, or to the movies—not to a cancer hospital. But at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI), a cheery, adolescent face brightens the medical scene.

Top 5 Bald For Bucks Fundraisers join Kiss 98.5's DJ Anthony On Stage

Have you noticed a strange number of bald heads around your school and community this year? It might be the record-breaking number of Goin’ Bald for Bucks participants! 52 schools hosted a Goin’ Bald event in 2012, raising more than $540,000!

And all this hard work for a world without cancer does not go unrecognized! With help from Kiss 98.5 and DJ Anthony, top Goin’ Bald for Bucks participants got VIP treatment at Kiss the Summer Hello 2k12. The top 5 overall fundraisers were even recognized on-stage during the concert! Click through for a link to photos and more!
