Join the Street Team Today

Yroswell’s Street Team is currently made up of over 80 high school and college students from schools across Western New York who share a common goal in creating a world without cancer. This network of community-minded students raises awareness and supports Roswell Park by attending various events to spread Yroswell’s mission. Applications for the Street Team open in the fall.

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that develops in certain skin cells called melanocytes. These are the cells that make the pigment (melanin) that colors your skin. When exposed to UV radiation, such as sunlight, the melanocytes make more pigment, causing the skin to darken or tan.

I first heard about Reality Check at a local skate night that I went to with my friends. I wasn’t too sure what it was at first, but my friends were involved and convinced me to join.
